I write across genres, but my focus is constant: the choices we make under pressure, and how they define us.

I’m Phillip Macko, author of seven published works spanning fiction and non fiction. My nonfiction includes Think Your Age, Don’t Act It and Make Others Greater, the latter chronicling the largest team of people with disabilities ever to reach Everest Base Camp and Gary Guller’s record setting summit, a leadership story centered on courage, resilience, and inclusion. I’ve also published Career Resiliency and Transformational Sales Prospecting Strategies with BookBoon.

My fiction explores darker terrain. The Conduit is a high tension thriller of secrecy and survival. My new series, beginning with The Cage Came First (2025), is a psychological conspiracy thriller in the vein of Sicario and The Night Manager, where espionage, identity, and moral consequence collide.

Whether in business, on the mountain, or in the shadows of covert power, my work asks the same question: who we become when there’s no safe choice left.
